The hairpins attached to the geisha’s hairstyles are part of the whole artwork but they have their own identity. The thirty-six pieces are complementary to the sculptures. Some of them have been thought of in Japan, a country that gazes permanently to the sea, reflecting the marine diversity with crabs, fish, mussels, shellfish, dolphins, anemones made with coral, pearls, shells, mother of pearl, lacquer and copper sheets.
